= IPv6 support in Server applications =

There are several applications support IPv6 from the box. Some has to be recompilled with with a specific IPv6 enabling switch. Some has a patch that allows IPv6 operations. This page we try to summarise these informations for the most popular applications.

  • Apache2 (series 2 (2.x)) does support IPv6 from the box, however here is a guide to properly configure Apache2 in IPv6 environment.

Apache1

Apache1 does support IPv6 only with external patch (for versions 1.3.11 - 1.3.33). It is better to upgrade to Apache2.
