Description

smtpmap is based on the program ftpmap by jedi (http://www.jedi.claranet.fr). It tries to determin the version and name of the smtp server running on the target system with a fingerprint technology. The fingerprints are created by the features and answers given by the server, so they might differ on same server but different configuration.
