The monitoring daemon runs intermittent checks on hosts and services you specify using external "plugins" which return status information to Nagios. When problems are encountered, the daemon can send notifications out to administrative contacts in a variety of different ways (email, instant message, SMS, etc.). Current status information, historical logs, and reports can all be accessed via a web browser. == Comments == The IPv6 support depends on several factors: * The information reporting via IPv6 is relying on an external webserver. If the webserver supports IPv6 the visualization part supports IPv6. * The check plugins has recently extended to support IPv6. Version 1.4 of plugins supports IPv6 service monitoring. Tested and used in 6NET project. == Usage information == == Categories == CategoryApps, CategoryAppstesting_and_monitoring == Source of information == http://www.6net.org
