Description

Argus is a system and network monitoring application which includes IPv6 support since version 3.2. It will monitor nearly anything you ask it to (TCP and UDP applications, IP connectivity, SNMP OIDS, etc). It comes with a nice and clean, easy to view web interface that will keep both the managers and the technicians happy. Argus contains builtin alert notification via email and pager (qpage) but is easily extendible to use any other program like i. e. winpopup etc. It will automatically escalate alerts until they are acknowledged by resending the alert at different intervals while optionally switching to other methods of notification or other recipients. Due to the fact that most of the testing modules are written in perl IPv6 functionality is included in most of them.
